Helping Up Mission
Helping Up Mission is a highly structured, long-term recovery program designed specifically for men experiencing homelessness and addiction. Unlike short-term shelters, this program is commitment-based and typically lasts 12 to 18 months, following a phased approach that focuses on personal transformation, accountability, and long-term stability.
Participants enter a disciplined daily schedule that includes classes, counseling, work therapy, and personal development. The program integrates job training, GED education, and workforce readiness to prepare individuals for reintegration into society. Residents are expected to actively participate in all aspects of the program, maintain sobriety, and adhere to strict behavioral guidelines.
Medical care, mental health support, and addiction recovery services are all integrated into the program, making it a comprehensive solution rather than just a shelter. The environment is intensive and not designed for short-term or emergency-only needs.
This resource is best suited for individuals who are serious about long-term recovery and willing to commit to a structured program. It may not be appropriate for someone seeking immediate, low-commitment shelter, but it is one of the most robust recovery-focused programs available in the area.
