Project PLASE
Project PLASE provides long-term transitional and supportive housing for individuals experiencing homelessness in Baltimore, with a strong focus on serving vulnerable populations including veterans and individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Unlike emergency shelters, PLASE emphasizes stability through structured housing programs that allow individuals to remain for extended periods while working toward independence.
Residents are supported through comprehensive case management services that help address barriers such as unemployment, health concerns, and lack of permanent housing. Staff work closely with individuals to develop personalized plans that may include job readiness, benefits enrollment, and connections to healthcare services.
The environment is supportive but structured, designed for individuals who are ready to transition out of homelessness and engage in a longer-term program. This makes it especially valuable for those who need more than short-term shelter and are looking for a pathway to permanent housing and stability.
